2015

Well hello there, you lovely people!

Wow what a year this has been...

2015 has been one hell of a ride, but I can easily say that this year was actually a pretty good year for me... I mean obviously I did go through my fair share of hell, but I feel like I have grown a lot as a person.

2015 review:

  • I lost a bunch of friends, but I met some pretty amazing people whom I now consider family
  • I joined my schools rugby team (what was I thinking?!)
  • I got asked to prom (shocker!)
  • I learned how to fish (well...kinda)
  • I graduated high school
  • I started university
  • I got my first tattoo (badass much?)
  • But most importantly I started to become confident in myself
I have suffered from low self-esteem issues, but now I feel like I am slowly becoming this confident woman, and I couldn't be more proud of myself.

I'm not perfect in any way, but i've learned that in order for me to get anywhere in life, I have to start believing in myself and I have to love who I am.

It's hard to love yourself when we live in a society that teaches girls/boys to wish they looked like someone they're not.

One of my goals in life is to somehow make people feel confident with who they are. This may sound clichΓ©, but I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way and no one should be judged based on their looks alone.

If you ask any of my friends, they'll most likely tell you that I'm one of the most sarcastic people they've ever met, but hopefully they can also tell you that I have a good heart and that I bring out the best in them.

If you put my sarcasm aside, I actually do have a good heart and I want nothing but to make people around me feel comfortable and bring out the best in them.

One of my biggest goals for 2016 is to spread positivity and hopefully help people who are going through a dark phase in their life.

Depression, body image issues, or anything of such sort isn't a joke, and I hope that anyone suffering can somehow find way to get through it and live their life surrounded with happiness.

I 100% believe that you need to surround yourself with people who bring out the good in you in order for you to actually grow as a person...

Ever since I started hanging around my new group of friends, I have become a different person and I am happy with the person that I am becoming.

Surround yourself with positive people and you're life will become a much better place.

On a lighter note, I am soooo happy to leave this year behind and start a whole new journey in 2016...this year is going to amazing, I can just feel it.

I have so many things planned for 2016, and I want you guys to join me on this journey!

I hope you guys have a rockin' New year's eve ;), party hard but please stay safe!

2016 is going to be our year...I hope you achieve all your goals, and that 2016 brings nothing but happiness for all of you!

Comment down below what your goals are for 2016, or tell me what you thought about this post...
if you want.

Layering

Tis the Season...

Ah winter, my second favourite season....

I love everything about winter, from the snow to the holiday spirit, but the one thing I love the most about winter is the FASHION!!

Layers, Layers, Layers!

Winter is probably the season that I dress the nicest, because I like to layer my clothing. I live to wear scarves, knit sweaters, and anything cozy yet stylish at the same time.

For me, my everyday winter style consists of skirts, dresses, tights, a cute top, an oversized scarf, and to top it all off, a cute little coat that goes well with my outfit.

However, when it comes to layering things can get a bit tricky...

The number one rule when it comes to layering is that you don't want to make yourself look bigger. You need to know what looks good for your body type and work with that.

For example, maybe one day you decide to wear a cardigan with your outfit, but once you put it on you think it looks too bulky. That's totally okay, because you can always add a belt around your cardigan and it'll actually look really nice with your outfit.

There are so many different ways you can wear your outfits this time of year, but it all really depends on what kind of style you like to go for.

You can take a simple tank top and pair it with jeans, and add a cardigan or some sort of sweater on top of it. You can also add on a pair of leg warmers and some jewellery to make your outfit look edgier.

You can take a LBD and add a faux fur coat on top, and possibly add on a statement necklace.

There are endless possibilities, but once again it all really depends on what you think looks good on you.

Here are some of my outfits to kind of give you an idea of what I'm really trying to say, in case my words didn't help much, because as you all probably already figured out, I'm all over the placeπŸ˜‚:

Well thank you for reading todays post, I hope it helped you in some sort of way or you just found it interesting...
I will back on Sunday with a brand new post with a brand new topic!! πŸ˜Š
Till then, have a Merry Christmas! Eat a lot of food, and make sure to spend time with your loved ones! πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌ❄️

The Beginning

Here I am just sitting in my room with a hot cup of cocoa thinking, "What in the world am I going to write about in my first post?". I thought and I thought, and then finally I decided to write about why I even want to start this blog, and what makes me different form the thousands of other blogs on the internet.
For me this blog is all about expressing my thoughts and showing people that I am more then just this shy little girl from a city called Brampton. My goal with this blog is to be able to put a smile on peoples faces, and to be able to give advice on everything, from fashion, to cooking, to living a better life, and just everything in general.
Now I know you must be thinking,"well this girl is just all over the place!" and I totally agree with you.
When I first thought about starting this blog, my only goal was to talk about fashion and show you guys my style and possibly help you find yours. I wanted to inspire people, but I also wanted to be inspired.
Then when I actually created this blog, I thought "I have way more to talk about then just fashion"...so now as you can see, I am going to be talking about everything that I possible can.
Every Sunday my goal is to post a blog about a different topic...
However, since this post wasn't really anything special, I am going to be posting another post on Tuesday, so definitely be on the lookout for that.
I am really excited to be doing this, for me this feels like a new beginning and I feel like I have found what makes me happy.
So come and join me on this journey, and let's make a change in each others lives.

Love,
  Adiba
